In order to obtain successful drug rehabilitation, it is most important for the drug rehab center to be a comfortable setting and for the method of the rehabilitation to be trusted by, and effective for the addict. Because drug rehabilitation is a process that can lead to sustained abstinence from drugs and alcohol, the process by which the rehabilitation is offered can make all the difference for the wide variety of preferences and belief systems of addicts and alcoholics in need of drug rehab.

How Long is Drug Rehabilitation

While drug rehab, or drug treatment, may last for any period of time from 30 days to several months at time, drug rehabilitation is a journey, not a destination. For recovering addicts and alcoholics, drug rehabilitation is a lifelong process, constantly requiring vigilance and determination to make the right decisions and use tools learned in drug rehab for sustained sobriety from drugs and alcohol.
